Many fans are still waiting when will This Slam Dunk live action will happen? Last year 2011 the popular anime Rurouni Kenshin has released their Live-action and got some positive reviews. It seems live-action based anime are getting into threads.

This is the best I've seen Fan Made Slam Dunk intro... though the characters doesn't resembles with the Anime.. but it so far great from others.





Yet another good version maybe they don't have the budget and production to create a descent one, but the effort and their imagination is well done.

The cast are obvious gays and no wonder Takenori Akagi is not in the picture (maybe he's there too but too gay to get notice).Nice try and good job with the imitation but I can't take out on my mind that they all gay bastards, except for coach anzai (if that's really he's trying to portray).

Jeremy Lin and Akira Sendoh

Linsanity made a big impact in Media and all over the world. Most kids now they want to be like him, going to hardvard before going to NBA. Anyway Jeremy Lin reminds me of one character in Slamdunk, Akira Sendoh who's Rukuwa most rival player. 

Sendoh is the antonyms guy of Rukuwa that's how their rivalry fires up. Rukuwa is mostly a ball hogger and doesn't like to pass while Sendoh is team guy who always know how to involve his team mate. Like Jeremy who plays like a team man in Knicks, he knows how get involve his team mate in the game and he has the heart to play the game of the big man.

they're stats and demographic are not that far similar

both are right handed with the same layup styles

they both plays as a point guard with similar balling style

both can penetrate and slash the basket

Real Story of Hanamichi Sakuragi?

(this is a fake story, but the story itself  is just so good to be true..)

Hanamichi Sakuragi was born in 1968 in a family of the common working class. His mother passed away when he was very young, without the love of his mother he use the violence (out-on-the-street fights) to resolve his problems. As a young boy he was very tall at the age of 12 average 1.75 mts, and his body began to acquire force and a lot of resistance through his fights. Once he had a fight with the students in the sports zone of the University of Tokyo ; his abilities to fight, velocity and to and physicality they attracted the coach of the basketball team, and offered him to join the team.

In a party of practice, at the age of 17, against the National Team of Japan, Hanamichi of 1.89 mts, was the unique one that was not frightened by the professionals and noted 33 points alone: 10 shots, 3 nailed, 1 triple, 1 shot that did not find the terminology to explain, and 2 free shots.

Although its team lost with only 59 points (59 - 115), had been an excellent first game for Hanamichi. Basketball was in chaos, and he was named “The Hope of the Japanese Basketball”. Nevertheless, its father fell sick a year later. Hanamichi went of return to Tokyo , and this trip would cost him all. He descended of the bus in Tokyo and he was on the verge of crossing the street across the hospital when a car that went very fast hit him . Although he had the “body of steel”, the impact simply was too strong. He collapsed, they carried him to the hospital. Unfortunately it was too late… before they sent him to the operating room died from internal hemorrhage, only with 18 years of age.

The World of the Japanese Basketball was completely destroyed, they called this loss “Colossal”. The mangaca Takehiko Inoue created its series” Slam Dunk” based on the history of this youth.

Fake Hanamichi Sakuragi Story (Hoax )

There's a story circulating over the Internet claiming that there's a REAL Hanamichi Sakuragi to where the creator of Slamdunk adopted his story. The article is totally a HOAX who made by nothing-to-do-good people but who just want to get attention from Slamdunk fanatics.

Here are some proofs that the article is a Hoax:

1. The photo is a fake, the author of the article grabbed a random photo of a japanese student from the net that looks like Hanamichi.

 The photo was taken from this site http://www.yoshikinet.com/bio/biography.html , though the link is no longer available.

2. The writings is like created by a highschool student. You can see the usage of minimal vocabulary and its very far how you read things in reliable articles like Wiki.

One part he said '1 shot that did not find the terminology to explain, and 2 free shots.' it's obvious that he making up some story like a HighSchool Kid telling a bluff story to his friends.

3. If you're gonna search the Internet if there's a basketball player named 'Hanamichi Sakuragi' you won't find any, except for the current Japanese player name himself after the Slamdunk character.
